When you visit Cefalu you can't avoid a stop by the Mandralisca Museum, in which are preserved the collections of the Baron Enrico Piraino of Mandralisca (scientist and patron: Cefalù, 1809 - 1864), a valuable archeological collection, a picture gallery which includes "Il Ritratto di Ignoto", masterpiece by Antonello da Messina, a malacological collection and historical library.
